Falafel Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
1 small onion, roughly chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons Sadaf Falafel Seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons flour (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas.
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, Sadaf Falafel Seasoning, & salt. Pulse until you have a coarse mixture. The texture should be slightly grainy, not too smooth.
Add flour if the mixture seems too wet or loose. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Form the mixture into small balls or patties, then gently drop them into the hot oil.
Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve with pita, hummus, or tahini sauce, and enjoy!
