Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi | Herb Stew Recipe
Ghormeh Sabzi
Ingredients:
- 2 cups chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 cups chopped fresh leek or green onions
- 2 cups chopped fresh fenugreek leaves (if unavailable use spinach)
- 1/4 cup Sadaf Ghormeh Sabzi Dried Herb Mix
- 2 tablespoons Sadaf Pomegranate Molasses
- 1 tablespoon Sadaf Grapeseed Oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 pound beef, lamb or chicken, cubed
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon Sadaf Turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat the Sadaf Grapeseed oil over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add the meat and sauté until browned.
- Add the water, bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 1 hour.
- Add the chopped herbs, Sadaf Ghormeh Sabzi Dried Herb Mix, Sadaf Pomegranate Molasses, and the Sadaf Turmeric, stir well and simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with white basmati rice, garnished with fresh herbs.
